Auto Hint
Automatic playing suggestions based on basic strategy.
Auto Hint displays a recommended action during each player turn, based on basic strategy. It helps you learn optimal play without memorizing strategy charts.
How Hints Work
When enabled, a hint appears during your turn showing the recommended action for your hand against the dealer's up card. The hint recommends one of the available hint actions: Hit, Stand, Double Down, or Split.
Basic strategy is the set of plays that minimizes the house edge over time. Each recommendation accounts for your hand total, whether it's soft or hard, and the dealer's visible card.
Setting-Aware Hints
Hints automatically adjust to your Dealer on Soft 17 setting. When H17 is active, hints use H17-specific strategy recommendations.
When Hints Appear
- During the player's active turn, before you take an action
- After hitting, if your hand is still active, a new hint appears for the updated hand
- During split rounds, each hand receives its own hint
- Hints do not appear during the dealer's turn or after the round ends
The Toggle
Auto Hint is controlled in Settings where the selected table allows it.
- At tables where hints are available, the setting defaults to on for new players
- Players can toggle hints off at any available table via Settings
- At tables where hints are unavailable, no hint toggle is shown
Learning Tool
Auto Hint is designed for players learning core decision patterns. Use it to build intuition, then disable it once you feel confident making decisions on your own.
Availability by Dealer Table
Hint availability depends on which dealer table you are playing:
| Table | Hints |
|---|---|
| Jean-Luc LaChance | Available (on by default, toggle in Settings) |
| Czarita Fortuna | Available (on by default, toggle in Settings) |
| "Dice Man" Jack | Available (on by default, toggle in Settings) |
| Lady Lux | Unavailable |
| Aunty "Lucky Lei" | Unavailable |
At beginner and intermediate tables, hints default to on so new players learn optimal play immediately. You can toggle them off in Settings once you feel confident. At advanced tables, hints are disabled entirely.
