Player Rank

Level up as you play with an XP-based progression system.

True Count tracks your progress through an XP-based ranking system. Every hand you play earns experience points, with winning hands earning significantly more. Your rank only goes up, never down. A progress bar at the top of the game screen shows your current level and how close you are to the next one.

How XP Works

You earn XP after every hand. Each hand awards two types of XP:

  1. Minimum XP — a fixed amount just for playing, regardless of bet size.
  2. Bet-scaled XP — additional XP based on the outcome and your bet, using a compressed formula so larger bets earn more but with diminishing returns.

Minimum XP (Participation Floor)

Every hand earns at least this much XP, even at the smallest bet:

OutcomeMinimum XP
Loss3
Push3
Surrender3
Win8
Blackjack15

Bet-Scaled XP

On top of the minimum, you earn additional XP scaled by the outcome and your bet size. The scaling uses diminishing returns — doubling your bet does not double your XP. This keeps progression tied to how much you play, not just how much you wager.

Push1
Surrender1

Examples

At the Jean-Luc minimum bet of 5 credits:

OutcomeXP Earned
Loss5
Win15
Blackjack28

At a 250-credit bet (Czarita minimum):

OutcomeXP Earned
Loss13
Win40
Blackjack68

At a 5,000-credit bet (Jack minimum):

OutcomeXP Earned
Loss31
Win90
Blackjack155

XP Never Decreases

Your XP total only goes up during normal play. Losing a hand still earns XP. There is no penalty, decay, or rank demotion. The only exception is Reset Game, which restores everything to the starting state including rank.

Bigger Bets Still Matter

Higher bets earn more XP than lower bets — roughly 12x more XP for a 10,000x larger bet. The compression prevents a single lucky big bet from skipping dozens of levels, while still rewarding players who take bigger risks.

Win Streak Bonus

Consecutive wins apply a multiplier to the XP earned on each winning hand. The longer the streak, the higher the bonus.

Streak LengthXP Multiplier
2 consecutive wins1.25x
3–4 consecutive wins1.5x
5–6 consecutive wins1.75x
7+ consecutive wins2.0x

Any non-win result (loss, push, or surrender) resets the streak counter to zero. The multiplier applies to the full hand XP (minimum + bet-scaled) on winning hands only. Blackjack advances the streak counter but does not receive the multiplier.

Leveling Up

Each level requires more XP than the last. The threshold follows a scaling formula, so early levels come quickly while higher levels demand sustained play.

Players start at Level 1 with 0 XP. The milestones below are total XP needed to reach each listed level.

LevelTotal XP to Reach Level
1 (starting level)0
2283
51,118
103,162
2512,500
5035,355
100100,000

No Level Cap

There is no maximum level. The XP requirement scales smoothly, so every level is reachable with continued play. Whether you are Level 10 or Level 500, there is always a next milestone.

Table Unlocks

As you level up, new dealer tables become available. Each table has its own rules, difficulty, and minimum bet.

LevelDealerTable
1Jean-Luc LaChanceGreen
10Czarita FortunaRed
25"Dice Man" JackBlue
50Lady LuxPurple
100Aunty "Lucky Lei"Gold

Higher tables increase the house edge through tougher rules, fewer player-friendly options, and reduced shoe penetration. See Dealer Tables for the full breakdown of each dealer's rules and difficulty curve.

Rank Bar

The rank bar is displayed at the top of the game screen during gameplay.

  • Shows your current level number
  • A progress bar fills as you accumulate XP toward the next level
  • Animates when you level up
  • Always visible, so you can track your progress in real time

Persistence

Your rank and XP total are saved between sessions. Close the app, come back later, and your progress is exactly where you left it. This works the same way as your bankroll and statistics data.
